PHILOSOPHY OFÂ LEARNING
At the end of the school day, children may not remember lessons taught but they do remember how a teacher made them feel. Positive relationships with children are essential to nurturing a child’s confidence, instilling the value of a growth mindset and fostering a lifelong love of learning. As the parent of two children, I am continually seeking more profound knowledge and understanding of the ‘whole’ child particularly psycho-socio development to inform my practice. It is a privilege to be learners alongside children; to facilitate their inquiry journey of the world.

Children are innate and passionate learners who rely on educators as their vehicle and encyclopedia to the world around them. Driven by curiosity, children know what they need to learn and when they are ready. It is an educator's responsibility to observe and document these behaviours, and to identify interests, challenges, and strengths to support children in their learning endeavours sufficiently. Rich experiences set deep impressions in the memory creating value in lessons thus informing multiple intelligences. It is my educational responsibility to establish and set up an environment that is stimulating, engaging, and satisfying to the needs of children's curiosity.

Committed to the path, career and life of an educator, teaching is not just a job but is my life style. Never do I stop thinking about my classroom, my students and methods to connect and bridge information for learners. The discipline of teaching is an ever-evolving field where one must continue learning in order to continue teaching.
